Congratulations Robbie Williams Experience!
It gives me great pleasure to thank you on behalf of Council and the Mackay community for your collaboration with the 2009 Mackay Region Festival of Arts programme. Your associated event contributed to the diversity of artforms and artistic performances celebrated during the Festival, a festival which embraced the entire Mackay region for the first time. This year’s Festival provided a wonderful experience for the wider community, culminating in the largest G & S Engineering Wine and Food Day ever staged. New venues such as Grasstree Beach, Greenmount homestead and the cabarets at Queens Park proved very popular and earned the praise of both the community and participants alike. Mackay Regional Council is proud to coordinate this superb fortnight of arts and entertainment. However, we rely on partnerships with local artists, organisations and cultural groups to ensure we can continue to deliver quality community events, I sincerely thank you for your involvement, and very much hope you enjoyed the 22nd Mackay (Region) Festival of Arts. We look forward to continuing this relationship in 2010.
